When a loved one passes from this life into the next, the First Congregational Church is honored to help families celebrate the lives of their loved ones and to help comfort them in this time of mourning.
Many families choose to have a local funeral home help them with final arrangements, including planning a memorial service. In such cases, the funeral director will contact the First Congregational Church to arrange the memorial service, whether in the Sanctuary, Chapel, or at the funeral home.
In the case of cremation, some families prefer to make arrangements on their own and call the First Congregational Church directly to arrange the memorial service.
FCC does have space that can be used for calling hours or a memorial service reception. Please contact the church office for information about a Facility Use Agreement.
In 1992, the First Congregational Church created a Memorial Garden between the Sanctuary and Chapel. If you or a loved one wish to have your cremains interred in the Memorial Garden, please contact the church office for more information.
