Pat Pirotta

Office Administrator

Pat Pirotta began her ministry at the First Congregational Church in April 2008.  Originally, Pat was the part-time Administrative Assistant to the Senior Pastor Search Committee that called Rev. Kristen Kleiman.  When the Office Administrator resigned, the church knew they had a perfect candidate in Pat.  As a member of First Church of Christ, UCC in Unionville, CT, Pat has knowledge of and dedication to the United Church of Christ.  Pat and her husband have two grown sons, a golden retriever and two cats.  Pat brings numerous gifts to this position, not the least of which a friendly smile and the ability to multi-task!

The Church Office is open Monday through Thursday, 8am-4pm and on Fridays, 8am-12 noon.




Bill Degan

Organist and Choir Director

Bill Degan began his music ministry at the First Congregational Church in October, 2017. He plays the organ and piano, and directs the Adult Choir and the Youth Choir, which he founded upon arrival. Bill is currently Dean of the Waterbury Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. He is also a physics teacher. Bill’s wife Jean has been the Music Director at St. Joseph Church across the street since 1986. They have three grown children who are also musicians. Bill has served as organist and music director for local churches since coming to Connecticut in 1981, and is happy to have found a new and wonderful “home close to home.”




Jacob Humerick

Handbell Choir Director

Jacob Humerick directs the Handbell Choir. He is a middle school band director, trumpeter, and longtime church member.




Brad Wolf

Facilities Liaison

Brad Wolf joined the First Congregational Church staff in December 2012 to help with maintenance projects and became the Facilities Liaison in the spring of 2013.  As a 54 year member of the church, having served on the Prudential committee and past Building Renovation committees, Brad brings a wealth of knowledge about the church to his position as well as a great love of this Christian community and the building that houses its ministry.  Brad and his wife Mary Jane have 5 children and 11 grandchildren.
