The Endowment Fund

Welcome!  Thank you for your interest in the Endowment Fund of the First Congregational Church of Bristol, CT. The Endowment Fund is how endowment gifts are received, managed, and used for the benefit of the church on a long-term basis.   Below are opportunities for you to contribute to any of the various Endowment Funds for our church.  Gifts can be unspecified and would then be placed in the General Endowment Fund or can be designated for a specific purpose.   For further information please contact the church office and ask to be referred to a member of the Planned Giving and Endowment Committee.

Donation options: 

• The Samuel Newell Society – donations can be one time or as often as you would like.  The minimum donation to be a member of this Society is $1000.  Donations to this fund will add your name to the booklet of donors which is in the Narthex of our church.
• Bequest in your will – add a defined donation to First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ (UCC), Bristol, CT  or donate Real Estate.
• Spontaneous donation – to the FCC Endowment Fund at any time you choose.  This can be via cash, check, or via the Giving tab on the FCC web site, with specific comments to direct your donation to the Endowment Fund.  The donation can be designated to a specific Fund of your choice if desired.
• Securities donation – stocks or mutual funds as designated by the giver to a specific Fund, or the General Fund.
• FCC as beneficiary – in 401k, 403B, IRA (or any retirement plan) or Life Insurance policy, as designated by the giver to a specific Fund, or the General Fund.
• Deferred Giving – Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trust individually or through the UCC naming the First Congregational Church of Bristol as beneficiary.
