As of Sunday, May 31^st we have received 67 pledges totaling $422,700! We are optimistic that we will reach our goal with the help of 47 outstanding cards. The campaign visitors are completing their visits and we hope to celebrate a successful conclusion on Sunday, June 7^th!

We are deeply grateful to our Co-Chairs Katherine Ill and Art Shahverdian, and the campaign Steering Committee, including: Chris Amorosino, Donna Banatoski, Terry Engel, Pat Pirotta, Lisa Rohner, Rob Sanderford, Sharon Shahverdian, Kim Villanti, and the Rev. Kristen Kleiman, who organized our members to fill 78 volunteer positions.

A follow-up committee will be appointed to oversee the outstanding cards and collection of pledges over the next three years. Donors may begin pledge payments immediately, or beginning June 1, 2015.

Here are some guidelines to be sure that your pledge payment is credited properly:

• Please make separate checks out to the First Congregational Church, with the notation “capital campaign” in the memo line.
• Authorization forms for Electronic Pledge Payments are located in the document rack outside of the church nursery.
• Questions regarding donations of appreciated securities, or mutual funds, may be directed to Lisa King (860-582-8645). Instructions for gifts of appreciated securities are available. Please notify the broker when your transfer is occurring and send a copy of your letter Lisa King, so that your pledge is credited.
• Separate weekly campaign envelopes will be available, dated beginning the first Sunday in June.
