Family Facts: I am married to Stuart Rosenthal, and we have son, Jack, as well as a turtle named Ike.
How I came to FCC: I was ordained in the United Church of Christ in October 1999, and I served Wapping Community Church, UCC in South Windsor, CT as their Associate Minister for nine years. Sensing that God was calling me to a new ministry, I began searching for a new call in 2008. After what felt like a long search process for the church and myself, God brought us together, and the connection was immediate. Six weeks after our first interview, I candidated on November 2, 2008 to become the pastor of the First Congregational Church.
The most important thing I do here is: Welcome everyone in Christ’s name, share the good news of God’s love, and empower the members of our church to use their gifts in building community inside our congregation and throughout the city of Bristol and the world.
What I Love About the First Congregational Church: I love the people! They are warm and friendly and excited about making sure FCC is the most welcoming and joyful community we can make it.
Vision for the Future of First Church: To have our church be a place where all people feel welcome and comfortable, look forward to gathering and deepening their relationships with God and each other, and are strengthened to follow the ways of Jesus Christ.
Family Facts: I live in Harwinton, CT, with my husband, Bob, and our two boys, Bobby and Billy, and two crazy Siamese cats.
How I came to First Church: I was hired in February 2008 to help the pastoral search committee with their search, and when the office administrator resigned, I was offered the position.
The most important thing I do here is: assist the congregation and staff with their ministry.
