The First Congregational Church, as member of the United Church of Christ and coming from the Reformed tradition, recognizes two sacraments, Communion and Baptism.
FCC usually celebrates the Sacrament of Baptism on a monthly basis. Baptisms are a part of Sunday morning worship because the entire church community pledges to help nurture the baptized in the Christian faith. FCC and the United Church of Christ practice infant baptism, but people of any age are welcomed to be baptized. You do not need to be a member of The First Congregational Church to be baptized at FCC. More information about baptisms can be found in the FCC Baptism Booklet. If you are interested in being baptized or having your child be baptized, please contact the church office to inquire about possible baptism Sundays.
